Thoughts
to ponder over...
-
"The
world is a looking glass, and gives back to every man the reflection
of his own face. Frown at it, and it will in turn look sourly
upon you; laugh at it and with it, an it is a jolly , kind companion."
Thackeray 'Vanity Fair'
-
"There
is a time for departure even when there's no certain place to
go." Tennessee Williams
-
"One-half
of knowing what you want is knowing what you must give up before
you get it." Sidney Howard
-
"All
changes have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is
a part of ourselves; we must die one life before we can enter
unto another." Anatole France
-
"What
if no one's watching? What if when we're dead, we are just dead?
What if it's just us down here? What if God is just an idea
someone put in your head?" Ani DiFranco, "What
If No One's Watching"
-
"It
is curious how silly trivial things, sometimes for no apparent
reason, become signifigant. At first you laugh at these things,
you think they are of no importance, you go on and you feel
that you haven't got the strength to stop yourself....And so
it seems to me that if I die, I shall take part in life one
way or another."Anton Chekhov , The Three Sisters
-
You are
led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the
playful spiritual being that is your real self. Don't turn away
from possible futures before you're certain you don't have anything
to learn from them. Richard Bach
-
"Nothing
just happens. You choose it to happen."Dr. Judy Kuriansky
-
“When
we put up with any situation that we don't have to put up with,
it's not because we're dumb. We put up with it because we want
the lesson that only that situation can teach, and we want it
more than freedom itself.” Richard Bach
-
"I
know that the journey is never what we plan for; it's what happens
between the lines."-Mary Morris, Nothing to Declare
- Poor Fletch. Don't believe
what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look
with your understanding, find out what you already know, and you'll
see the way to fly.'' Richard Bach
- Sometimes people come
into your life and you know right away that they were meant to
be there...to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or
help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never
know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them,
you know that every moment that they will affect your life in
some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time
that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection
you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would
have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart.
